In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Central Asakusa location — A 5-minute walk from Kaminarimon Street and close to Sensoji Temple, Don Quijote, and multiple subway stations.
  • Free breakfast and beverages — Guests repeatedly praise the free breakfast spread — from eggs and sausages to rice, miso soup, and fresh juice — and all-day coffee and tea.
  • Spotless bathrooms and comfortable beds — Reviewers often note the cleanliness of the showers and toilets, plus comfortable mattresses and pillows, with no waiting for facilities.
  • Value for money — At a budget price, guests feel they get a lot — from included amenities like towels and toiletries to a hearty breakfast.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Limited room count — With only 12 rooms, availability may be limited, and the hostel atmosphere won't suit everyone.
  • Check-in window — Check-in is only from 15:00 to 23:59, which could be a hurdle for late-night arrivals.
  • No pets allowed — The property does not permit pets, so travellers with animals will need to look elsewhere.
  • Shared dormitory focus — Most rooms are dormitories with bunk beds, so privacy is limited — private rooms are few and still use bunk beds.

“The location was perfect, with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. The staff went out of their way to give me a lower bunk because of my knee. Breakfast was superb, including vegetarian options. The free amenities were handy and the Wi-Fi was fast. Adding hairdryers in the bathroom would be a nice touch, but I had a comfortable stay for the money. Nothing to complain about — it was perfect.”

8.2Verified guest

“Great location, comfy beds, free breakfast and drinks all day, good value.”

“I stayed four nights and loved it. The bed and pillow were so comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms, so no waiting. The location was ideal, a short walk from several subway stations. The breakfast had scrambled eggs, sausages, fried chicken, tofu, and salad. The staff were kind and accommodating. A great place to stay.”
